Countdown to Fun Parade to start Jan 16th

Cast Members are being told there will be no parade at Studios between Jan 2nd - Jan 15th. :wave:

I hope it is at least better than the changes to the MK parade. It's a shame and a crime the best parade on property is being hacked and slashed while parades like MJJ and the MK day parade have been running for years.

Once again this isn't really a new parade. Its the floats from Block Party Bash, but no showstops, no acrobats, no live Green Army Men, oh and a new soundtrack. That's the "new parade", expect it to be on the same level of the other Magic Kingdom parades.

i'm aware. its new characters. its pixar. and i'm sure i'll love it.

Do we really know 100% no acrobats? Play parade has them so...

Im also thinking it should be all the old characters plus Remy, Emile, Carl, and Russell.

i dont think anyone really knows what the parade is going to include instead of the pixar characters.

No acrobats, that's one of the main reasons they're getting rid of BPB, too expensive because of the acrobats and live green army men who are covered by separate unions which gives them higher pay. The only similarities of the new parade and DCA's parade is the music.

There aren't really be any additional greeting planned, but there will be some minor modification for Toy Story & Monsters, Inc.

Buzz & Woody typically alternate appearances from 12:30 to 3:00, will instead be together for the entire time the location is open. And instead of the regular break from 3:00-4:10, the location will close from 2:00-2:40.

At Monsters, Inc., Mike and Sulley will also be together the entire time (same time closed 3:00-3:40)

Disney Channel Rocks will have different showtimes too: 10am, 11, 12, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm (Monday show will be on SoA, for removal of Sorcerer Hat stage)

RAXIP, I know you know a lot of character info, but do you have any information on the parade? I know it was rumored we were going to get a few floats from California Adventure but is any of that true or pure rumor? Aside from the floats from Block Party Bash, new soundtrack, no acrobats, do you have any inside info?

I heard they were trying to get the dumptruck from DCA to add to Countdown to Fun. If they were successful, I do not know. I know there was talk of trying to get Mater and Lightning in the parade. Supposedly, there were issues with getting them from the photo location to parade.

Thanks! Do you know if they are going to get the Ratiouille float not used anymore in DCA's Play Parade or the pre parade float they had for Up? I'm just trying to figure out how they'll include the Up and Ratiouille characters. Will the Incredibles be in the parade since they only appeared on the tweeners in BPB?

So as we are less than a week from the first performance of PPCTF are there any more solid details on what to expect? Any official word of if we recieved any floats from California or what floats will be used? Can't wait to see it!
