Countdown banners

I was wondering how do the posts get that little banner on the bottom of their posts that have the days counting down until their trip! I would love to put one on my page! Any help is appreciated!

There are places online where you can get free ones. Here are a couple of sources:

The advantage of using a third-party source like these is that if you participate on more than one discussion forum, you can use the same banner at any of them.

Note that these may not be allowed here, since WDWMAGIC sells their own. I couldn't find anything about it either way, so you might want to check (or maybe a forum admin could respond if they see this).

Not an admin, but outside banners are not allowed here.

Since they almost always advertise other sites and unauthorised advertising is a no-no here.

We don't run outside countdown banners because they just clutter the place up, take screen space away from the actual discussion, and slow the site down as the page loads files from external sites. We do offer our own countdown banners, so that we can contorl the size. To limit their use, they are only available to WDWMAGICPass subscribers.

Speaking of countdown banners, they appear to be "stuck". Mine has been at 41 days for several days, and Monty's still says he's at the GF until March 06. :shrug:
