Coronado Springs advice?

Hello everyone, my father is staying three nights at the Coronado Springs resort in October to run a conference and asked me(knowing how much I like Disney) for some advice on how to make his stay at the hotel enjoyable. However, I myself have never stayed at this resort. If anyone could tell me what the best things to do to have an enjoyable stay here than it would be much appreciated, thanks!

In what way? Looking for activities as a group or an individual?

Disney Meetings usually handles all group functions.

As an individual, Rix Lounge us a nice bar/dance club at the resort. Voted most trendy bar in Orlando. They also offer some great tappas.

Laguna Bar is a great place to grab a drink. The bar is located lakeside with some terrfici views of the lake and pyramid from the pool.

The main pool area is awesome. Home of the largest hot tub on WDW porperty and 2nd or 3rd largest slide.

CSR has a fitness center free for guests. You can also get a massage, use the sauna and/or tanning beds.

CSR has nightly campfires and movies by the pool too.

Thank you so much! I'm sorry I didn't specify in the OP but hes just looking for places to unwind after the conference(considering its work not a vacation) and I think you covered it, thanks!

The resort is big and if you are on the other side of the resort by the pool (in rancho) it is a good walk to the convention space and lobby (not fun with a suit on). Rooms were quiet and comfortable but don't pay up for a view because of the motel style of this resort you will have the drapes closed most of the time. Rix is a great place to have a drink and the pepper market for breakfast is good and quick.

I will second both the Rix and Laguna votes. I just stayed at Coronado for my first time back in May. I was very impressed, and I think it's my new favorite of the Moderates (having stayed at all of them now). It is a large area, although the grounds are very, very nice. If he wants convenience, booking a preferred room (which should put him in the Casitas) is the way to go.

Tell him to request a room in the Casitas in either 1,3,4 sections which are closer to CSR's awesome amenities like the Fitness Center, Heath Spa, Quiet Pool, and the Hammocks along the edge of Lago Dorado. Also these buildings are a quick walk away from the dining and lounge options found at El Centro as well as a short trek to the Convention Center.
