Book our trip today - CSR 9/13-9/20. Travelling with the kids (8,6,3), in-laws, and mother (8 people total). The in-laws have difficulty walking quickly or long distances, so we will be requesting a first floor room, but where? I was looking at the map of Coronado ....8A and 9B seem to be good locations to request. Close to bus stop for the in-laws and pool for the kids. Not too far from the restaurants either. Any thoughts on this????

You are looking at the Cabanas. We stayed in building 8C, parking lot view last May. Good location for the bus, it's was very close. We could see the bus stop from our room. 9B is not that close to the bus stop. It's not bad but not as close, if being close to the bus is an issue. The walk to El Centro is a little long but we liked walking. They do have little golf cart trams that frequent the walkways. They always stop to ask if you need a ride. We love this resort. The grounds are magnificent. Have a great time!

My hubby and I just booked our trip last Sunday (8/4-8/8) at CS. The person we booked with requested 9B for us. It's close to the lobby and food and the likes. You could request either of the two buildings and see which one you get. Either one looks good to me... Happy Disneying!

I have stayed @ Coronado Springs the last two years & stayed in Bldg. 9B both times. It is definitely the place you want to stay. Read my review of Coronado below along with pics:

I am not an expert, However having spent the last 2 trips @ Coronado Springs, I can say this. CSR is outstanding. If you request Building 9B (specifically 9550 - 9554, this is first floor facing lake) you can't go wrong. You are about 20 - 25 yards from the Main Bus stop, 50 yards from Main Building (Gift Shop, Food Court, Restaurant, etc.) & 50 yards from the Dig Site (Across bridge - Main Pool). Plus, there is a beach with hammocks right out your front door. The Ice / Vending Machines are about 15 yards away & if you need to go anywhere else in the resort, there are golf carts that come by periodocally. I have requested this building & this room range both trips & was assigned Room 9554 both times. The staff was Very accomodating & the resort is Fabulous. There are also boat & bike rentals available at the dock right outside the Main building. There is a very long path that goes around the entire resort that is very nice for bike riding, walking or jogging. If this isn't enough to convince you, let me leave you with these pictures.

This one is taken from near the Main Bus Stop & that is Building 9B just across the lake. The bus stop is actually to my left about 30 feet & is attached to the Main building. That bridge to the left is the only thing that seperates bldg. 9B from the Main bldg & bus stop. The Dig Site is straight ahead of those tall palm trees. Just across that bridge, you come to the second bridge which leads to the Dig Site.

This one is taken from the bridge leading to the Dig Site. At this point I am about halfway between Bldg 9B & the Dig Site.

Here is a couple of the Dig Site. The pool is just below the bottom edge of this picture. There is also a Kiddie Playground, Sand Pit Dig Site, Beach Volleyball, Game Room, Pool Bar & Hot Tub in this area. Then there is the Jaguar Slide which comes from the back side of the Pyramid into the pool. Very, Very

And here is one more view of the Main Building from the bridge. :sohappy:
