My family is planning a post Labor Day September trip at a Moderate Resort. I'm rolling the dice hoping we land free DDP. Last time we did this our travel agent was able to swap us for free dining after the promotion started. Anyway we were planning on staying at either Coronado or CB. Any suggestions? Likes Dislikes about either resort. Also I will probably be booking a Standard Room so if there are any horror stories please let me know. Cheers! Thanks for the read.

I have stayed at both and I cannot think of anything about CBR I preferred over CSR. Coronado Springs was a fantastic resort, stayed cababa side and had the white sandy beach in front with the hammocks, convenient to the big pool, the quiet pool, the bus stop, the laundry. The grounds are wonderful, small marina, pretty decent food court. Really liked this resort.

Agreed. Coronado is a wonderful resort. Really is beautiful. My only complaint is that it is possible to be stuck in a room that is a very long walk away from the lobby/restaurant area but that is possible at Caribbean and other resorts as well.

Another vote for CSR!

Besides having a great main pool area, CSR also offers many deluxe amenities at a mod price. CSR also offer business club level rooms now with lounge access.

CSR has queen beds, a sliding wooden door separating the sink area from the room (can be good for little ones napping in a pack n play) but only one sink.

Amenities include a fitness center, spa, free wi-fi, tanning beds, a sauna, salon, full menu room service and a night/dance club.

The resort offers the same toiletries as the deluxes (except GF). CSR has separate shampoo and conditioner instead of the shampoo/conditioner combo at the other mods and values (a small thing, I know, but it means I don't have to pack shampoo and conditioner).

CSR has the largest hot tub of the mods and one of the longest pool slides on Disney property. The pool, slide and playground area is great and all located in one area at the main pool.

Bus service is terrific and is not shared with another resort.

I have stayed at CBR 2x and just stayed at CSR for the first time in Nov. CSR beats CBR any day. CSR is like staying at a Delexe Resort without the deluxe price tag. The CMs were all very friendly and helpful, quick to resolve the one problem that we had. The kids loved the pool and playground. The grounds are gorgeous; I felt so relaxed walking around it. The kids loved to watch the wild life especially the alligators and turtles in the lake. The food court offered a good variety of food. The Maya Grill was one if the best restaurants that we have ever eaten at on property; the steak was so tender and juicy that it practically melted in your mouth! The rooms were nicely decorated; the Queen beds comfy. The bus service was good. The resort is centrally located so we never had a long ride to the parks. It was so beautiful; I didn't want to leave. I took a lot of pictures and they don't do the resort justice. CSR is now my second favorite resort; only CR beats it.

Going with the folks in April. We have reservations at CBR, price being the primary reason as being the least expensive of the moderates. Never been there or CSR so can't say any more.

I love everything at CBR except the rooms. The curtains clash with the room and it's just a little too full of cartoon stuff for me. The resort is bright, cheerful and cute. They play island music in the food court and around some of the grounds. It is centrally located, so you're pretty close to everything. The air conditioners are old-style, though.

CSR is very pretty and has that nice sliding door separating the sink area from the rest of the room, so one person might be able to sleep while another get ready. I think it's more romantic at night than CBR. The CSR food court is maybe a little better. The gift shop is much better.

They both have pretty water views.
