Copper Creek Deluxe Studios on Ground Floor - room # help!

Hi - we'll be staying in a Copper Creek Deluxe studio villa in September. We would like a room with a decent view and private patio (I saw that some rooms do not have private patios because they have a one-bedroom next door that could combined with the studio to be used as a lock-off). Some of the ground floor deluxe studios I've seen on youtube, etc (not many videos out there) show a patio, others show a balcony. I can't find a picture or video anywhere (I've looked!) that would help explain why a ground-floor room would have a balcony. Can anyone help me out with pics or video of the outside of Copper Creek villa building OR explain why a ground floor room would have a balcony vs a patio. I believer there is an exit at the end of the ground floor wing. Any pics of that would be helpful also! Do you have to go down steps or can you walk right out? Can you re-enter with a key card or do you need to enter again off the lobby? Also - can the sliding doors lock if you exit off the patio? Just curious - as that would help save time when leaving for the day. Thanks in advance!

Touring Plans have a tool that will help you.

By selecting the room type it shows where those rooms are. You can also look at views from many of the rooms.

And if you have a subscription you can submit a room request through them. If not you can call in. I suggest including an explanation of what you want, in case the specific room(s) aren’t available.

I do know that you can’t lock the sliding doors of a ground floor room from the outside.

As for the “ground floor” rooms and balconies, the lake side of WL which includes Roaring Fork is below the lobby level. I suspect there are also rooms on that lower level. Either way, I expect rooms on the same level as the lobby will have a balcony if they face the lake or a patio if they face elsewhere. Does that make sense?

Paging @Tuvalu for confirmation on this!

First let me assure you that whatever floor your Copper Creek studio is on your patio or balcony will have a privacy partition from rooms on either side of yours, even if the studio is part of a lock-off.

All ground floor rooms have patios. (Floors 2-6 have balconies.) Exterior exits for ground floor rooms differ depending on which side you are on. On the side that faces Boulder Ridge Cove (quiet pool), the exit door is on the second floor so you must go up the fire exit stairs to the second floor and then down to outside.

However, there is an exterior door on the first floor far left end of the building above (not pictured) which is close to the bus stop area.

On the opposite side which faces Silver Creek (feature pool), there are two first floor exterior doors at either end. One was to the right of our room pictured below.

As @nickys mentioned, you cannot lock a sliding glass patio door from the outside. It will remain unlocked once you step outside.

Did you request a ground floor room? Or are you inquiring in case you are assigned one?

I am not a fan of rooms on the sixth floor. All have enclosed balconies and therefore block views.
