Do they still have the Segway area there? Its been about 4 years since we went to DL.....

No, Honda Motors has an exhibit in that area of the building now. They have a little theater where an average American "Mom" interacts and puts on a show with Asimo, the Honda robot who can do some amazing things.

When CoP left DL, they basically moved the sets and animatronics to WDW but left the 2 level rotating theater. To coincide w/ the United States bicentennial celebration, a new show called America Sings then took up residence. (When they finally closed AS, much of it's animatronic birds, frogs, and other assorted animals took up residence in DL's Splash Mountain). For Innoventions, they removed the stages and seats, but the lower level still rotates (very slowly) as part of the show.

How does it compare to inoventions in WDW?

The bottom level is now home to the brand new Innoventions Dream Home, which IMO is a great addition, upstairs houses Asimo, Project Tomorrow(much like the one at SSE post show) and a few other things. I can't really say how it compares with the Epcot one as far as exibits, but is dosn't have the cheap tacky feeling IMO of the Epcot one.

I think Disneyland's version of Innoventions avoids the lower-rent feel of the Epcot version by just sticking to the high profile, big name clients like Honda, Microsoft, HP, etc.

The intro scenes with the singing animatronic and the rotating Home of the Future exhibit helps set it all up better too. Compared to the free-flow setup in Epcot, the more structured Disneyland setup with the big name sponsors gives it a more polished presentation.

I agree with everyone else. Disneyland's Innoventions is a lot more structured than the Florida version. You have a set path which you have to go through and not a free flowing area.
