Hi,
Some of the people that I spoke to at WDW said the COP is probably going to be closed in January because they consider it a slow time of the year. My trip is January 3rd- January 11th. Does anyone know anything about this? It is not listed under operational updates. Thank you in advance. I would just hate to not see the COP :

Although technically it is "seasonal," it has been open lately I've heard. If it would be open, your chances would probably be better Jan. 3 than Jan. 11 (as the post-Christmas rush leaves...every day will be slower than the last while you're there!).

I love COP too, but you're picking a great time of year to go to WDW! Just remember it can get chilly (pack a sweatshirt and some thin gloves---you've be glad you did!).

Thanks for the tip!! I will be sure to pack warmer clothes. The weather in Florida with be a warm welcome to my family and I. We are coming from Vermont. It has been 0-21 degrees with wind chills below zero with what seems like non-stop snow, and January weather is typically 0 degrees with wind chills 50 below zero... Can't wait for that warmer 50 - 65 degree weather...lol. I will be sure to visit the COP on the 3rd to see if it is operating. Thank YOu:)

I know it was open last Jan when we were there the 6-13. I too am hoping it will be open this year, at least from 7 -14. I think it has a good chance of being open with Buzz scheduled to be closed for most of Jan. for refurb.

COP makes me angry!!! Its one of my favorite attractions but I couldnt find it open at the right times last week. It looked closed during the 2 very merry christmas parties that I went to.. but I saw it moving another day when i was running to Liberty Tree for dinner.. but then I forgot to go back :brick:

Anyyone know if it was actually open during the xmas parties? It looked closed to me.. I didnt see it moving.

I went last year in the last week of Jan. and it was open. I will be going again this Jan at the end of Jan and hope that it will be open since Buzz ride will be closed all of Jan.

Ditto. I also agree with Dumboflyer in saying that you chances are better earlier in your trip. But pending any unforseen circumstances, I believe that you'll have no problem catching CoP.

Have a Great Big Beautiful Day!

Excellent... ride?

I'd call it more of a show. I do hope they referb the seats some time. I got a broken one in the front row and was leaning forward the whole time. I quickly forgot about it though.

I had a weird experience with it on December 1st. I was in the last scene, future xmas. When the scene was over, the ride didn't move. Then about half way through the second running of the scene, it started moving, and stopped abruptly. Very strange feeling in that situation. I wonder what happened to those who were out of sync after I left. Anyone know what hppens?
