I was talking to a friend of mine the other day and we got to talking about Disney World because of my upcoming trip and he told me how they were planning on going to Disneyland in March. He then tells me how is grandpa on his moms side worked for Disney and Walt himself visited them so much that his mom and siblings even called him uncle Walt. They want to take their kids while some of his voice-overs are still being used. He does the safety spiel on BTMR and some stuff in the Haunted Mansion and he was also the voice of Zeke in the Country Bears. Being the Disney fan that I am, when I got home I googled him and sure enough there it all was. His name was Dallas McKennon. He did tons of little movie and tv bits and he is also the voice of Ben Franklin at The American Adventure in Epcot. And he was the voice of Gumby for a long time. He passed away a couple years ago right here in our little town of Raymond (coincidently his middle name). Anyway, I just thought it was pretty neat and wanted to share.
