Contemporary/Wishes Question

I'm planning a trip for January 2012 and have a few questions. I'm thinking of having a meal at the Contemporary Resort with my family once the fireworks have finished so what I want to know is;

1) How long can you park in the Contemporary parking lot prior to your meal as we'll be spending the day at Animal Kingdom and travelling to the MK just for Wishes?

2) Is the walk from MK to the Contemporary well lit and easily negotiated?

3) What time does Wishes finish in January and would I have time to get to the Contemporary Resort and be able to fit a meal in (going off the guides California Grill stops serving at 9pm, but if can cast my mind back a few years I'm sure Wishes finished around 7.30pm)?

Thanks

1) General rule of thumb is three hours... it is not usually strictly enforced, unless it is a very busy time at the resort. If you are heading right around the New Year or for MLK weekend, it might be more enforced.

2) From the front entrance to the Contemporary to the MK gate, it looks to be a 1/2 mile walk in one direction along the sidewalk. I haven't walked it myself, but plenty of people do I'm sure, so it has to be fairly easy.

3) It will really depend on when in January you go and what night you pick. Best thing to do is watch for the hours to be posted and then make your reservations right at the 180 day window.

Happy planning!

Valet park at the Contemporary. Its not much more than theme park parking, and its all day. Also, you can get your car out and valet park at another resort that offers it at no charge(tip excluded).

I did this when I had ADRs at Chef Mickeys...Just hopped on a bus/monorail to other parks from there..Easy..

Is valet parking available to off-site guests?
