Contemporary Arcade Question...

Hi! I am going to WDW with my family in October, and I have a question. At the new arcade in the Contemporary Resort, are the videogames still there that were from the 80's like Miss Pac Man and the like? Is Skee-Ball still there? Also, pinball machines. These are the things I really enjoyed doing at the old Food and Fun Center, so I am hoping those made the cut.

Thank you for any information! :)

They changed the arcade? The arcade at Contemporary is one of my fondest memories as a kid. We couldn't afford to stay there, so I don't know how my mom knew about it. But we did find it and I had to spend hours there before going out to the water sprites. I used to love taking people down there, especially when we were at epcot and a storm was brewing on the horizon. Just jump on the monorail and ride out the storm. Play some games, grab a burger down there and wait for the sun to come back out. Who needs Disney Quest?

WDW Lover you totally took me back to when I was a kid. The Food & Fun Center has been a staple of our WDW trips since my first visit when I was three. I remember watching "Summer Magic" in the movie theater they used to have in the back of the Center! That was waaaaay back in the day. LOL

So from what I understand, they moved the Food & Fun Center up to the Grand Canyon Concourse; it replaced the Fantasia shop and the Sundries place next door to it. The counter service food stuff can be bought at Tempo Grab & Go, across from where the Concourse Steakhouse used to be (it's gone too). A restaurant called The Wave is now adjacent to the lobby/check-in area. I haven't been to the Contemporary since all those changes took place.

So...does anybody know the answer to my original questions in the first post? I'd love to know the info. I'm not going to WDW until October but I feel like I have to know right now. Thanks! :)

EpcotLover77:

There are 4 pinball machines, 4 skeeball machines, and for 80s games: Miss PacMan/Galaga, Space Invaders, Defender, Joust, Donkey Kong/DK Jr./Mario Bros.

My husband works there, so if you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

Have fun!
