construction question

i was over at downtown disney the other day and on teh way back down the main disney highway we exited onto I-4 west(towards tampa) and there was alot of land cleared out, does anyone have any clue what this is?

Is that the World Drive Exit (#62), the 192 Exit, or the EPCOT Center Drive Exit?

The location you're talking about is along Epcot Center Drive (536) between the WDW entrance gate and I-4. It is on the right side as you're leaving WDW, putting it between 536 and Carribbean Beach. I've seen the land clearing, as well as a construction entrance between the main entrance of CBR and 536. There is a construction sign there referring to Bonnet Creek Resort Construction Site.

My only guess is that since it is near the Pop Century site and isn't much of a site for a new development, that it might be work on the next stage of Pop?

If that is the site (536 and 1-4) that is land that is not actually owned by Disney. It is one of a few parcels that were never bought up before the "news leaked" and then were too expensive to buy and just considered not necessary. I heard the person who onwed it finally died and the estate sold it to a developer who is building a new resort there "in Disney Property." It will be like the Hotel Plaza hotels.
