Confusion about AAA tickets

I'm looking to pull the trigger on our park tickets for a trip in early May and hoping to save a few (very few) dollars with AAA or my employer's discount site. But I noticed in the Important Ticket Information, there's a statement that reads, "Tickets will be emailed and must be printed. Vouchers on a mobile device are not accepted." What does this actually mean??

Will I have physical tickets that I need to redeem at the gate?? And how does that play with MDE??

Just seems like an odd statement when so much is digital these days...

If the tickets are emailed to you then there should be ticket numbers that you can enter into your MyDisneyExperience account to link them to each person.
Once that is complete you should be able to use a magic band or your mobile device to access the ticket media.
You can stop by a ticketing window to receive a physical ticket card if you do not have either of the above options.

The only way I have personally ever purchased from AAA is to walk into my local AAA and they will hand me a phsycial ticket.

But also in my opinion it gives me peace of mind to just purchase directly from Disney as the savings are so minor in the end.

Just in case someone finds themselves in a similar position, I did go ahead and purchase the tickets through my employer's discount site (spurred on by yesterday's price hike). Process was pretty straightforward and I was able to link all of my party to their passes through the MDE app. I can pick up the physical tickets at the park on our first day (basically, "will call"). So... success!! :)

I didn't realize they were selling tickets with Genie+ already added. I had a look on Union Plus, and there is a minor savings to be had over Disney (around $65 if adding Genie + all five days). So, if you are in an union, you can purchase them there too. I have only ever purchased Medieval Times through them in the past. No problems.

We've purchased tickets from DH's employer's discount site before and linked tickets to MDE and used MBs with no difficulty tapping at the turnstiles (did not need to go to ticket booth/customer service first). We always print the emailed tickets as a backup as there has been issues with a ticket or two not working (luckily it was quickly resolved at the turnstile).

This year we used Undercover Tourist as they were less than anything we found and luckily did it before the price hike! When paying for 5+ tickets, including USO, every little bit helps.
