Confused about my 2 Days at Universal Orlando

I have been directed to Orlando Informer for information on Universal Orlando and Harry Potter but all the information is confusing.

I am going to Islands of Adventure on Monday. I am not understanding Harry Potter. I plan to be at the gates at 730am (they open at 8am). But I have read that there is a secret path from the gates to Harry Potter (but on another site - I read they walk everyone over similiar to Soarin). Which is true? If there is a secret path - what is it?

It is clear that no touring plans exist for Islands of Adventure of Universal Studios. But I want to see all the main attractions at both parks. Can someone direct me to a site or post that list the best order of attractions. I know I should see Harry Potter first.

Please help me.. I have Disneyworld down but Universal Orlando is confusing...

I've never been at Islands for opening so I'm not sure how the whole "Potter walk" works. I'm pretty sure I've read that they walk everyone over there from POE through Marvel, Toon, and JP. There's definitely not a "secret path" from the entrance to Potter - it's either left through Marvel/Toon/JP or right through Seuss and Lost Continent.

Attractions-wise - in Islands, I'd definitely say Potter first is obvious, and then I'd backtrack to Marvel and start from there. Hit Rockit first at Studios, and follow that up with Mummy. Head to World Expo for Simpsons and MIB next and then enjoy the rest of your day. :king:

I think it depends whether or not you are staying on the universal property hotels. They receive early admission to IOA. I went for the first time at the end of may and did not get early admission, when regular guest entered the park there was no escort to potter world, we were able to go in and headed to the right and through Seussland arriving at Forbidden Journey with a 30 min wait. Also having never been to universal before I was surprised they make you put all bags in a locker area at the front of the quenue. I had a sling purse that was very small (Half the size of a regular sheet of paper) and the strap went across my body and had to stash it in a locker. Just a heads up for a first time visitor if its possible avoid carrying any bag or leave it with a non rider before making it towards the quenue.

There is no secret path, even as a Resort guest for Early Entry we still use the Main entrance, then turn right thru Suess Landing then thru Lost Continent!

IOA is easy to use, everything is in a circle so you just pass thru each 'land'. If you turn left or right at the beginning you will still end up at the beginning.

US isn't that confusing either, always pick up a park map at the entrance if you aren't familiar with the park.
