Conde Nast Traveler magazine's "The Best Cruise Ships in the World 2003" list includes the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder.

This list, included in the February edition of the magazine, offers the results of its annual reader's poll of the best cruise lines in the world.

The Disney Cruise Line ships are among the 71 ships honored in this year's list based on the quality of service, design, itineraries, food and activities.

For the complete list of honorees, visit http://www.concierge.com/cntraveler/lists/cruiseships03 on the Internet.

I have heard that the Disney Cruises are good but that they don't compare with some of the others. Have never been on a cruise (unless you count the ferry ride to Fort Sumpter and subsequent Harbor Tour in Charleston SC) so I really can't comment. I'll just go away.

Wow, glad to see the Wonder ranked 7th, while the Magic is ranked 19th. I have been on some of the ships listed there (i'm an avid cruiser, with about 4-5 cruises a year, also will be going on a European cruise on the Splendour of the Seas this summer) yet I still haven't taken a DCL cruise! Weird, I know, but the folks continue to say that it's mostly designed for kids (which it is, pretty much, but still there's a lot to do) and some friends of mine who have been on both ships have had bad comments on food and service, but hopefully this'll be the year I finally take a trip on the Magic or Wonder!

Wow I wonder why they're ranked so far apart. I thought they would basically have the same service. I know they're different but I didn't think they were that different. I've been on the Magic before. I really liked it. The theme was magical and very Disney. They even had characters onboard. I loved the cruise and I'm glad to see the Disney ships highly ranked.

I've never been on the Wonder, but I've been on the Magic twice...once for the week long Eastern cruise and once for the week long Western cruise. And our family Christmas present this year is the special 10 day Christmas cruise on DCL. As you can imagine, we LOVE the DCL. I can't believe I'm going to say this...but I actually think I had more fun on the DCL than I do spending time in the parks. Don't get me wrong...I LOVE Disney World and am always planning my next trip there, but the DCL is one 'heck' of a vacation.

I'm surprised to see the Wonder and Magic so far apart...they are hardly different. Different main dining hall (Lumiere's on Magic and Triton's on Wonder) and differently named and theme 'night-time' district and some different themeing elements here and there...but I didn't think they were that different.

Either way, I've been on some other cruise ships and DCL is the best by far. The only complaint I have ever heard from anyone on the ship was that there was no casino. Since I don't gamble, I'm glad. But for some...it matters ;).
