Hey guys, so I dug up this old map I sketched out earlier this year for a concept of a brand new Disney park most similar to the Magic Kingdom and Disneyland. My vision for it was that it would be the flagship park of a new Disney resort in an undecided location. Obviously, this is my first rendering and it isn't perfect; I haven't even had time to realistically think about some of the attractions and building specifics, but I just thought it would be interesting to see everyone's thoughts and recommendations.
The story of this park is simple: I want to create the perfect culmination of all the Magic Kingdoms across the world by creating brand-new attractions exclusive to the park while also incorporating classic rides with new twists put on them to make them both timeless and unique. The park will consist of several key lands: Mickey Avenue, Celebration/Fantasia Gardens, Storybook Forest, Port Innovation, Tomorrowland, Discovery Cove, Wilderness Ridge, and Colonial Harbor.
The names of these lands will probably change as time goes on, and I've had some trouble when it comes to the location of them within the park. I've considered shifting up the locations of Tomorrowland, Wilderness Ridge, and Discovery Cove, and I may scrap the Colonial Harbor or Port Innovation areas altogether- I just need to find a better way to blend them into the surrounding lands naturally. Also, the bridge towards Discovery Cove from the main hub needs some serious work.
Feel free to take a look at the park and ask me questions about what you see. Please make recommendations and give your own ideas for rides to add and I'll continue to create new maps and redevelop the structure of the park. I want this side project/fun hobby to be meaningful to everyone and I think it'd be interesting to see this fictional park grow and develop.
As time goes on, I'll try to update this first project of mine continuously. I've also had small ideas for the rest of this fictional resort, including a Studios Park, an Adventure-Theme Park with a villains land, a shopping district, water park, Mickey Mouse hotel, large general resort, a Toy Story hotel, and a couple of other small ideas I'm developing. Anyways, I can't wait to keep making new renditions of this original map of mine and seeing where the road and everyone's recommendations take it.
