computer question

OK - this is going to sound like the dumbest question ever, but here goes.
When I scroll though the "live" feature on this forum the upper case "W"'s look faint, almost like how a typed page looks when it's time to change the printer cartridge. It's only the upper case W's and it doesn't matter where they are on my screen.
Any ideas?

I just noticed that it does it in a regular post too. This is really strange....

That is odd. Mine looks just fine.

Let me guess - you're viewing on an LCD type screen, yes? What you're seeing is how your system is handling the aliasing of the fonts.

Two fixes; change your browser font or adjust your settings in the Control Panel.

Thanks! Fixed it - apparently it was the result of an update DH did to the computer this morning. Thanks for your help!

You need to press the typewriter key on the paper by hand.

when I first noticed it, that's exactly what it reminded me of. Didn't want to show my age by mentioning it though.
