Complete revamp of WDW...

So there has been a lot of talk about expanding Disneys Hollywood Studios recently, especially with all the new stuff Universal plans to do to their Orlando Studios park, as well as the awesome DCA relaunch Disney just did in Cali this year. That being said, I got to thinking about what I think should be done to the parks to bring WDW back to the top of its game.

Magic Kingdom: complete retheme of Tomorrowland to a more Steampunk/Jules Verne adventure style. That way the land wouldn't go out of style in ten years. The Monsters gotta go, as does Stitch.
I also think a new E-ticket should be added to Adventureland.

Epcot: major redo of Future World. I like the Discoveryland idea many have thought of in the past, as well as the added greenery/trees/waterfalls/fountains/shade to the area. I could see the 'gravestones' removed, a more open entryway created, shops and small attractions added as you make your way past Spaceship Earth. I'd love to see Innoventions given the axe, opening up the area for more attractions.
I think most agree Imagination and Universe of Energy both need serious overhauls...and something needs to replace Wonders of Life. maybe a weather pavillion with a copy of Stormrider?
World Showcase could use a new country or two. Add a few rides to the area! A Mt Fuji or modernized version of the Matterhorn would be a good addition here.

Studios: Adios Backlot. Adios Sounds dangerous. Adios American Idol. Focus on two things in this park: the Hollywood that never was and always will be, and(stealing a line from Universal) RIDE THE MOVIES! It's a movie themed park after all! Rides have got to get in here ASAP. Preferably more family/dark rides, and I thrill ride or two as well. The layout of this park needs to become more reflective of all the other parks: one that loops around. Too many narrow or dead end corridors in here. It's an absolute mess. The whole area from the animation courtyard should loop around to Sunset Blvd. There are already so many great ideas in other threads as to what people think should be added, and I agree with most ideas!

Animal Kingdom: should start by adding Austrailia. Doesn't need to be a huge area, but their awesome animals should be showcased. Asia: get some pandas! They have quite a good rep with China. Make it happen!
(fix the Yeti!)
Axe the train. Unless they're going to put a worthwhile expansion back there, what the point? I'd like to see more animals from South America and NorthAmerica added as well.
How about an arctic area? They could add Ice Mountain...an inverted coaster adventure through icy caverns passing polar bears!
I'd also love to see a version of Mystic Manor brought to this park...and maybe more prehistoric creatures, like Sabertooth tigers and wooly mammoths.
Dark rides and cool places need to be added badly to this park. How come there isn't a Jungle Book ride? Or Tarzan ride? Both would be good additions.

Typhoon Lagoon: Tornado style slides. Bowl style slides. These two attractions could greatly help expand the park and spread out the crowds.

Blizzard Beach: worlds longest hydro magnetic watercoaster. Dark family rafting ride. Body slide complex. These additions would beef up Blizzard Beach so much, that I wouldn't care to go to any other waterparks outside of Disney!

Well there's my ideas to fix or re-imagine the parks...what do you think? :)

For Epcot I'd like to see a few more actual rides added to the world showcase, If Soarin' could somehow be in the world showcase and flying over the world that would make a lot more sense in theming than future world, I'd like to see a Stormrider ride as a new weather Pavilion too. One thing that I'd want to see change is that there are only 2 "lands" of Epcot. I think that they should make "The Seas", "Weather Pavilion", "World Showcase", "The Land", their own lands on the map rather than being part of 2 bigs sections.

For Hollywood Studios I can go on forever but I'll just say: Pixar Place Expansion, Mickey Black-and-White Classic SillySymphony ToonTown Mini-land, Muppet Character Dining, and an Indiana Jones e-ticket.

For Animal Kingdom: A fantasyland jungle type area with dark rides of class animal disney films such as Bambi, Jungle Book, and The Lion King. I'd love to see a revamped Dinoland replacing Chester and Hester with an 'Ice Age' attraction (not the series but the time period) so that the area is prehistoric rather then only dinosaurs.

I agree, my family gets bored in the World Showcase after half a trip around, because of lack of attractions.
I would like to see the Ancient Worlds (Egypt, Roman Empire, Greece) recreated

MK: Villian themed Mnt coaster

DHS: Monstopolis; Toon Studios

AK: AquaDisney; Australia; "scarier" DinoLand with removal of the carnival

:)

MK: Bye bye Stitch. Monsters Inc Laugh Floor moved to Pixar place at Hollywood Studios. Tron e-ticket grid coaster takes up space from one of those two buildings
Epcot: JII restored to its former greatness. Weather pavilion takes over WoL area. StormRider built in weather pavilion, as well as Area built with interactive weather games. Horizons rebuilt in expansion area. Switzerland, Russia, and Argentina built in World Showcase. Russia pavilion has red square with St. Basil cathedral. Switzerland has bobsled ride, somewhat like the Matterhorn but an updated version and unique to WDW. Argentina built with Up ride over Angel Falls.
AK: Pandora built (happening right now) Australia pavillion built with Kangaroos, Dingos and Koalas. Sea life pavillion built with dolphin feeding tank and a submarine ride.
DHS: Monsters Inc Laugh Floor moved to Pixar place. Wreck it Ralph ride built going thru all the different video game worlds built
I think these additions would make Disney a whole lot better and make it much closer to its former greatness.

MK- Rework Tomorrowland. I think that having it re-themed to a steam punk/Jules Vernes sort of area will work fine. In this new Tomorrowland, I do think that a Tron ride can be put, whether it's a roller coaster or dark ride.

HS- A Pixar Place expansion is a good idea for the park and it should happen. Maybe put a Monsters Inc. Ride in there. Also, whatever empty soundstages/theaters they got, they should put something in there (rides, shows, exhibits). They do need a super hero atrraction there, but it doesn't have to be the Incredibles, and they can't use Marvel, not yet anyways. Revamp both Great Movie Ride and Backlot to be more entertaining and interesting than it has before.

EPCOT- First thing: Revamp Universe of Energy, Imagination, and Innoventions. I sort of see Innoventions as a place to interact with new technology and use it, sort of like a tech expo. I do think they need to put something in the old Wonders of Life Pavillion, and weather is one idea, but there can be other ideas like magnetism for example. Redo the video for Soarin' so it flies over Florida, not California or the world. I also agree that they need to put in a new country or two, but with the space provided, they should open up the World Showplace and work within that area to add those new countries in, along with new rides.

AK- Not much is needed here. I like the idea of having something with Australia in there, may be putting it in Camp Minnie Mickey and having Kangaroos and Koalas in there. Pandora is in works, but it'll take a long time to finish and open. For now, redo Rafiki's Planet Watch. Other than that, it's doing what it's intending to do.

Sort of what was already said, but with new ideas mixed in.

Not to criticize but as a big Pixar fan: UP is in Venezuela, not Argentina I believe lol (and most Pixar rides should be in DHS from now on). But it's your imagination :)

It is? Oh my bad. Thanks for correcting me though

No problem. And how will we connect Stitch and the Laugh Floor for a tron coaster? You said the 2 buildings would come together as the coaster but the buildings aren't side by side :/

So (though I hate the idea) should DHS become Disney's Pixar Studios ;) BTW, I'm going to your Cheif Imagineer thread soon :)

I don't think DHS will necessarily become Pixar Studios, but I do think an expansion for Pixar Place is going to happen. And the only way that will happen is if they worked in the Backlot area. Which brings me to the next point, which is The Backlot Tour and the Backlot itself. I think that the Backlot should be more open. There'll still be the tour, but it's going to run through some empty backlots which will be used for rides. It will sort of look like the TTA, but in trams. In the Backlot area, there will be the Pixar Place expansion with a Monsters Inc. Ride and perhaps another ride (maybe Cars). Also in the Backlot area, there will be one or two more e-ticket rides to fill the area. By doing this, it will draw the necessary attention that that part of the park deserves. And, if you're wondering about the current queue of the backlot tour, I sort of think the prop room will turn into a walk through exhibit through classical props that are already in there, and the effects part of the pre-show can easily be turned into a show itself, showing how explosions are made in the movies. My further envisioning for DHS.
