Compendium of Parks-Original Characters

For awhile now I've been meaning to compile a list of every park-original character (and the attractions they come from) as I can, mostly just to see how many Disney has come up with. I'm far from an expert on Disney history, so I'd love help! My goal is to cover all parks across the world and every attraction, from current to defunct. Please, if you can think of any characters, let me know to help fill this out! Also including the year they debuted helps a ton too!

Note: Any attraction labeled red is incomplete! There also may be some not labeled red that are incomplete, unbeknownst to me.
Attractions are listed where they first debuted. If a later version of an attraction created new characters for its version, that version is listed in the park it was made for.

This table is publicly editable, so feel free to suggest edits!

Great list so far. I'd like to shout out "Meet the World" as well. The original characters (not counting historical figures) are:
  • The Crane - A crane created from the imagination of the two siblings, who takes them on a trip through Japanese history.
  • Big Brother - The elder of the two siblings the crane educates through the show.
  • Little Sister - The younger of the two siblings the crane educates through the show.
  • Yaji and Kita - A pair of Edo-period Japanese peasants, one taller, skinnier and more serious, the other shorter, stouter and more silly. They rearrange folding screens to display different art and cultural developments that came about during the Edo period. Only named in WED internal materials, it's unsure which is Yaji and which is Kita. May be named after the characters Yajirobe and Kitahachi from an old Japanese novel, Tōkaidōchū Hizakurige.
Edit: Oh yeah, not sure if you'd put it in Tokyo Disneyland or Epcot. It was originally designed for Epcot, but ended up only being built at TDL.

California Adventure

  • Soarin' Over California (2001)
    • Patrick
Citizens of Main Street (2012)
  • Donna the Dog Lady
  • Molly and Millie
  • Officers Calvin and Clyde Blue
  • Phiphi Farouk Francis
Boardwalk Betsy (2001) - Strips Dips and Chips

All Big Thunders have Billy the Disney Goat.

Shanghai Disneyland has Q'aráq the crocodile monster from Roaring Rapids (2016).

DisneySea's Soarin has Camellia Falco (2019), Fantasy Springs has The Spirit of Fantasy Springs (2024), and Journey to the Center of the Earth has Hortense the Lava Monster (2001).

Wow, you never realize how many original characters Disney has made until you actually list them out!

I love the character descriptions! Now I'm tempted to give every character on the list a short description. Would make the list more informational!
