HI ALL,,,

Please can anyone give me any updated information on the Comfort Inn at Lake benua Vista,,, we have booked this for June this year but have latley read a lot of negative comments. I understand that this hotel is very close to the i4 and can be very noisy but if you have a room over the parking lot it is ok, also what about security and hotel transport to the parks,as we are none drivers and will have to rely on other transport... any gossip.
im sure we will have a great time anyway as this is our 3rd time but normally have a villa with drivers in our party.

We (2 adults 3 children) family suite, stayed at the Comfort Inn last year and yes we saw all the negative replies but the room was clean and basic. We requested (by e mail) a room on the car park side (as yes it is noisy on the I4 side). Anyway, you only sleep there, also the free breakfast was ok (cereal, toast, donuts). As for transport we had our own but we saw regular buses that stopped outside the hotel to go to the various parks etc. You are also within walking distance of various eating places. They have 24 hour manned security gates.

Hope this helps.

I travel quite a bit and cant sate from experience that when you stay at a Choice Hotel (the group that includes Comfort, Quality, Sleep Inn, Travel Lodge, etc...), that its hit or miss. Most of these hotels are individually owned and the quality from one to the other is inconsistant. I have basically quit staying at them because of the inconsistancy.

I've stayed there and was happy with it.

Nothing fancy, just a clean room in which to sleep (no noise problems, I was the car park side), great location, plenty within walking distance for the non-drivers, 24 hour security, free if basic breakfast, full buffet breakfast if you with to spend a few Dollars.

Here's the website

Here's the timetable for the free bus

We have stayed at this hotel twice (and boyf stayed there in previous holidays) and we have never had any problems - I didn't read things before we went as boyf had stayed there before and I was so glad I hadn't else I would have been really nervous! Yes, it's just a basic room but it was clean and comfortable.

Both times we had a car park room so noise wasn't an issue.

We also drive so never had to use the bus but there were always lots of people using them.

Security is there 24 hours and does check incoming vehicles but not sure what else they check!

Ideally placed hotel for non-driving as there are shops and loads of restaurants in walking distance (even DTD if you don't mind a bit of walking) and close driving/bussing time to parks.

Enjoy!!!!!
