Gimme TPA or MCO discounts -- please.

I know it's still early for September, but I'm getting nervous. Maybe next Tuesday.

Wasn't my choice - flying with a friend whose aunt is paying for him to go. Continental from TPA to Gatwick. She was gonna put him in first class :P But he opted out so we could fly together.. and adding my ticket was the same price, but fooey i have to pay.

hmmm.. Continental. The only decent US legacy carrier.

I'm assuming TPA-IAH-LGW. I'm surprised that the BA nonstop wasn't an option.

It was, and about $300 cheaper - but alas, we like miles. Gotta commute between CMH and TPA lots in the future (other-half is going to grad school up there).

I'm doing a layover in Jersey (eww) EWH i think?

Oh, and atleast my starting and ending point is TPA - i lucked out living here. Customs in Jersey should be fun.

There are some really crappy airports in the world. Here's hoping for nothing like Atlanta or Chicago - hate them both.

Just on the subject of BA. I got to experience their new video on demand system recently, its very nice. You get a full library of movies, tv shows, cds to choose from, all with full VCR style controls (pause, rewind etc). A much needed upgrade from their previous system.

Gatwick is no picnic LOL. It is resonable heading out, but isnt great as an arriving airport. It doesnt give the best impression of the UK on arrival!

really? I was going to be taking BA this fall to London, and then either a BA or BMI Short haul to CDG for a few days and I was looking forward to it.. but alas, plans change :) I'm glad to hear that the entertainment systems have gotten better.

I'm aiming on doing this trip next year now. Hopefully the dollar will strengthen a wee bit

On the topic of entertainment systems, the Virgin/Pacific Blue (Australia/Pacific) jets have been in Orlando and Melbourne, FL a lot lately getting installs... the work is done by Jetblue. I've heard rumours from a friend of mine in their LiveTV office that some of the European short haul airlines will be doing their work here as well.
