I was wondering, does anybody know how you join the Disney college program? Do you have to be picked or submit something to the company? And if anyone is currently in the program or has been part of it, was it a good expirence? Thanks in advanced.

Go to www.wdwcollegeprogram.com and fill out an application. There's also a lot of good information on it. There should be a presentation schedule for your college, or a college near you. You have to attend the presentation and then sign up for an interview which would be normally the next day. After that you just wait for the letter.
The college program was probably the best experience in my life so far! You meet so many people from all over, it was my first time living away from home let alone in a state thousands of miles away, and hey your working for Disney and you get all kinds of discounts and free park admission.
I know people that have had bad experiences too. Personally, I think most people that say they dislike the program what in thinking that it was just going to be an 8 month vacation where they could party every day, and that they were going to get some kind of cushy job. Yes you're going to be working long hours, with people that sometimes you may not like, and there's going to be some bad days, but generally the program is what you make of it. I give the program 2 thumbs up. 
I wrote all of this in like 2 minutes because I have to go soon so I may not have said everything I wanted to say, but you get the idea.

hehe, you're welcome. They just raised the pay to $6.25/hour with 50 cents extra if you work Quick-Service Food and Beverage. They raised it in Spring 2005 and I went Spring 2004

I'd also like to put in my two cents about the college program...I agree with pluto77: the college program is completely what you make of it. I just got back and had an awesome time but I felt I was realistic about what to expect before going down. For example, I knew people who were upset that they weren't making that much money but the pay and the hours we were guaranteed were told to us before we got there...it was no surprise. Everyday might not be fairytale perfect but overall it was an awesome experience...I would go back in a hearbeat!
I second that one! I went May '04-Jan '05-and had a blast! The money part was rough but I was warned before hand. One of my roommates had to actually leave the program b/c she wasnt making enough money to pay her car payments with the amount of money she was making. I think that the experience itself is so worth it and id recommend it to everybody! You meet the most amazing people from all over...like for example im from Mass and i just got back from Texas b.c one of my roommateds just got married! I say go for it and take every opportunity handed to you! You'll make some memories that will last forever! :sohappy:
