I completed a college program at WDW fall 2011 and I am going back for the newly reinstated WDW Summer Alumni Program so I can say that the number of roles chosen hold no bearing. I only put 3 interest in my fall application and was accepted a week after my phone interview. And as for the summer alumni program I only put 1 work option and was accepted about a week and a half after my phone interview. Do not put a role you would not enjoy as an option because work is a huge part of the program and you really should love every minute of it. Also, when you apply has no bearing on acceptance. For the summer program I applied about 6 hours before the listing closed (it was only open for 24 hours I had no idea!) And I have spoken with people who applied as soon as they opened and some didn't get a WBI, others never got a phone interview, and a large crop was NLIC after 3 weeks of waiting in limbo without any form of interview.(keep in mind, this is an Alumni Program so everyone who applied was a cm, hey we're deemed disney material already (this should make you feel better) )
It is a very competitive internship, and you want it to be.
If you didn't pass the web based interview you need to realize some things for next time.
1) the wbi is done on a likert and likert like scale. They will ask you a multitude of repetitive questions which they expect total honestly from meaning the answers should be the same.
2) Disney's number 1 priority is safety. Keep that in mind while answering these questions.
3) do not answer the questions how you assume disney would want you to answer them because you will have a higher probability of messing up on the scale.
4) breathe. You obviously care about Disney and dream of being a cm that's amazing! Don't give up on your dream! Just remain calm and honest.
I wish you the best of luck on your next application. And keep in mind not everyone makes it past the initial screening to take the WBI so you were already a step closer than most. Next time could possibly be your time!
