Okay.. So I def have a clue, and just want to confirm it, all though its going to suck.. I did the fall 05 cp, was terminated for leaving without notification because something happened back home.. Anywaysi, I emailed the recruiting office, and they said just fill out an app ane we will go from tehre, and good luck.. bla bla bla.. But, the thing is I've been in college, but not going back until this summer 2007 to complete about two classes which will end before July.. There is no way I can attend Fall 07 program, huh? No way around it at all? No miracles, prayers magic? lol..

Oh well, maybe next time.

If anyone has any magical advice, please let me know! Thanks guys!

I think it is that you have to be enrolled. Almost positive so it doesnt look great but hey they make exceptions and magic it's Disney. So you might as well try. Worse case couldn't you do an online course or two?

Random - possibly stupid - question...

What do you learn at the Disney college program anyways? I'm not bashing it - I just have no idea. It's more than just working there, right? Like do they offer a mentorship or do they have classes? What are they?

Honestly, everything I've heard about the program has to do with working in the parks (just like a regular job - granted with more "magic') and ... well... illegal substances... (I heard that 'dorm-life' there is... not for the naive...)

But since it's Disney, my heart tells me I'm wrong...

Probably the best thing that you learn, and something that future employers admire, is the Disney way as far as customer service is concerned.

I don't know if i fully understand your inquiry, but i'll try... the disney internship promotes three components... living, learning and earning. The living component isn't dorm-like at all... with one exception: You have a roommate. Your room is huge (compared to any dorm and any off-campus apartment i've lived in). You live with people from all over the country (my roommates spanned from the Northeast to the Southwest). You take classes in things that interest you, some are offered once/week, some offered once/month. Your work is what you make of it. It can be just a daily 9-5 (11-6 in my situation at AK) or an in-depth learning experience. A lot depends on your managers and classes.

Though cliche, there is no "this is how it is" handbook about the CP. Anyone you talk to (whether they loved it or hated it) will have had a different CP... especially since the program will be undergoing a series of adjustments and reconfigurations over the next 2-3 years. It's not bootcamp, but it's not a vacation... the CP is essentially what you make of it and your success depends on your intention and dedication.
