Over the summer my college organization received a flyer for $39.00 at Ramada Maingate West. I called to make sure it wasn't a timeshare thing but its not - just a special they are offering students on a budget. They are also not charging a resort fee like you see on some websites. Has free shuttle to Disney. With this hotel rate (split 4 ways with my buddys) and the Florida College Discount I'm saving some serious coin next month.

I'll let you know how it goes. If anyone needs the hotel info call the hotel 407-396-6000 - tell them u want the student rate.

Please pardon my ignorance, but when and what are "college days," exactly? I'm wondering about the impact that a large influx of college students might have on the parks in general (Randall W excepted, of course. I have no doubt that he's a charming and exceptional young man). Touring the Magic Kingdom with my two small children amid a bevy of unwashed frat boys -- fresh from the world's-most-expensive-alcohol-binge at Be Our Guest, LOL -- was not exactly what my family had in mind when we booked our trip. ;) Can anyone comment on whether there is any perceptible difference in what we might expect to see and hear if we visit during college days, or is it just a drop in the bucket?

(I know, I'm a total curmudgeon. It always annoys me when Disney World allows OTHER PEOPLE to visit at the same time I am there!) :p

I wouldnt worry. Disney Fall College Days are just dates that University students receive 30% discount for 1 park between October 1 and November 15. I wouldn't consider it a spring break type senerio plus the parks are always slow - I'm sure that is why they are offering the deal. If your going to the Magic Kingdom, there is only 1 restaurant that serves alcohol - college kids would hit EPCOT for that. LOL
