Hello. Silly question. My wife is a coffe addict as am I. Is there a place to get a decent cup of coffee at Pofq? We typically find that we are not able to get decent coffee in orlando unless its after a meal with dessert. I dont mind going for a quick walk to get a decent cup . I know places like Kona must have a good cup but how about in the resort where we are staying? thanks.

You best bet will be to bring your own and use the in room coffee maker. The coffee in the food court and Boatwright's is Nescafe which is pure coffee blasphemy.

OMG! I feel your pain. I love my morning coffee. I tried the coffee at the POFQ food court and it was awful. It was more like hot chocolate drink. I just made it in the room in the morning. There will be some in the room when you arrive and mousekeeping will give you more each day. I assume that if you called them they'd leave you more than 1 pot's worth.

BTW I'm so happy to be at Poly for next trip so I can get a cup at Kona in the mornings. Never tried it but have heard it's pretty good.

You will be amazingly happy with Kona coffee each morning (and more) my cousin lives in Hawaii and whenever he visits, he brings it to us fresh-ground. You'll love it-I'm jealous but will be shipping my own down for our 25th Anniversary stay at POFQ 9-09!

If there is a Trader Joe's www.traderjoes.com near you they have Kona coffee at very reasonable prices (for Kona). In fact they have a lot of very good coffee at very good prices.

On WDW property, unless it is somewhere "Special" such as the Kona Cafe, it is all Nescafe. To make matters even worse, its not drip, or perk, or any such coffee such as that. It is liquid coffee concentrat that gets mixed with hot water at the dispensing point.

Coffee (or the lack of it) is my biggest complaint about WDW.

Its amazing to me that The #1 tourist destination in the world cant provide a decent cup of coffee. I guess they figure people will come reguardless of the coffee so why bother. Im probably just gonna order a pot from room service in the am and deal with it. Is the room service coffee at least brewed? I dont need the world greatest cup to be happy. even a decent cup of dunkin dounuts will be better than SANKA. Maybe ill pack a little mr. coffee setup and bring in milk and sugar.

The room service coffee is more than likely the same garbage served in the food court. You will have a 4 cup coffee maker in your room so your best and least expensive option would be to bring some grounds and filters from home and brew your morning Joe yourself.

The problem with the coffee I believe is the water. Florida water has a distinct taste that will carry over to your coffee.

Try making your own coffee with bottled water.

The biggest problem with Disney coffee is that it is Nescafe and commonly Nescafe syrup. You could use Kona Nigari water and it would still taste vile. The tap water does not help matters much but then again unfiltered tap water from pretty much anywhere will negatively effect the taste of coffee.
