CNN and ABCnews

I was watching CNN yesterday and on the Larry King Live show, a news reporter from ABCnews was interviewed on their show. CNN said that he was from ABC and they asked him a few questions about the situation in Maryland. I have been watching CNN and ABCnews for years and I have never seen them talk to each other. I heard a rumor that Disney might merge its ABCnews unit with CNN and create the world's largest news company. Did that interview last night mean that they are getting closer to a merger? Or just simply a interview?

I'm guessing it was either Barbara Walters or Peter Jennings.

Barbara Walters had a big piece on 20/20 about finding/reconciliation with her daughter. Peter Jennings just wrote a new book. He was on Bill O'Reily's show the other night.

Larry King is much different from any other program on CNN. He can get just about anyone he wants to come on his show. I've seen lots of NBC, CBS, and several ABC news anchors.

I wouldn't read to much into this. I think it was just an interview.

ABC News will suck if it merges with any unit of Time Warner.

CNN is good, but the Time Warner ownership is too much.

Barbara Walters will be appearing on NBC in a few weeks...I don't think it means much of anything.

The merge may be good - It will cut operating expenses - which in turn will help Disney's Sacking Sock.
