My hubby and I are thinking of moving back to Orlando..
I'm thinking of going to school for a BS in Hospitality/Tourism Management, in hopes of obtaining a job at Disney (hopefully after doing the wdwcollege and an internship)...
I know it's a pretty vague field, but does anybody know what jobs are feasible with this at WDW and what the pay ranges are?
Thanks for the help :)

Hello,
I am a cast member and currently attend the UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management. I am a Hospitality Management major with a focus in theme park and attraction management. Luckily, through our school we have many opportunites with Disney and they are always on campus recruiting for many different positions. Through the school I was able to get an interview for the management operations internship this week, and I will see from there what exactly it is I want to do. I'm not even sure myself what jobs are available or pay, I am hoping to find this out by (hopefully) getting the internship. I am an hourly cast member now, so I do not make much money but, I love working there. But if you are looking for a career in Hospitality Management and at a theme park I honestly do not think there is better place in the world to do what what you want. I know I did not really answer your question as this is a question I have myself, but I hope I helped at bit! Good Luck!! :)

I really dont know, but the college program starts at 6.40, and with doing something with food, you get 50 extra cents, so my guess is around 6.90 to start, could be more?

Beeniefl, are you going for your BS or Master's? I'm in Pittsburgh right now, and there's only one school that offers even offers a bachelor's, no master's.
I moved up from Orlando last year, where I worked as a ride attendant at Islands of Adventure (don't hate me, I just lived closer to Universal than Disney! :lookaroun ).

I've always wanted to make a career out of working at Disney, so I'm really excited about starting to take steps towards that.
I think I'm going to try to contact someone from Disney and see if I could get any info.

Let me know what you find out at the interview, if you don't mind.

And thanks, cbmartin, for the info on the college program :)

ikat, I am going for my BS right now, I will done next december. UCF also offers a masters and even a PhD in Hospitality and Tourism Managment but those are mostly for people who are want to do indepth research or want to teach in the field. I might actually go for my masters eventually, I have heard that Disney has some very good tuition reimbursement. My interview is on friday and I am very nervous, but hoping to find out lots of good information cause I know the website for the Professional internships is very vague. Oh yeah, I am also a fan universal, I spent all weekend there for Halloween Horror nights! lol
