CM Shout-Out Thread

I thought this deserved it's own thread! I think the overall quality of cast members has slipped in recent years, possibly due to labor hardships and the trouble it is to hire front line workers these days. However, I wanted a place, other than the My Disney experience app, to shout-out cast members that despite all this are going above and beyond to make the days of guests truly magical. I think some ground rules on this should be that first name and location of the cast member should be fine, but we probably want to stay away from any other identifying information. Also if you didn't catch the cast member's name that's fine too! I have a few examples to start off with!

1). Doris from the snack shop across from Kilimanjaro Safaris:

She was funny and super attentive and then added a little pixie dust on the end. My family was in visiting and I took them to Animal Kingdom. It was a pretty hot day and we were all getting slushies, but a younger member of the family decided he wanted fudge instead, so we check out but then Doris sees that the he didn't have a drink. She says "You!" Points her finger at him and calls him back to the counter. "Do you like frozen lemonade? " To which he replies "oh yes I do I just wanted fudge". Doris says it's it's a hot sunny day and you are the only one without a drink so he's a frozen lemonade. What a great surprise for him!

2). Recently riding Kilimanjaro safaris a few days before with my wife, we had an amazing guide. I've had good ones in the past but this guy beyond good! He made it almost like Jungle Cruise, just not as corny but just as funny and also extra informative than usual. Unfortunately didn't catch his name.

3). Parking at animal kingdom on Tuesday, we had a parking guy who just started off our day magical. He was just one guy in a long line of people waving where we should go, however he just was having a good time, was sure to acknowledge every driver with a smile, a genuine wave and pleasant attitude. This goes to show how just a few seconds of interaction can start the day off magical.

If you are a cast member reading this, I hope it proves one thing. That one interaction, big or small, can make a day magical. I hope to fill this thread with even more positive stories about the great work that cast members are doing to keep the magic going, even in this very scrutinized time.

If you haven’t already, make sure to give them a cast compliment in the My Disney Experience app! That is the only way to make sure that the feedback gets to the cast member. Depending on the location, they might even get a goody basket to go along with your feedback!

As @Figgy1 already stated, there is a forum if you’d like to shout out a cast member on these forums as well. But make sure to leave a cast compliment!
