The OC Register today has an interesting article about Disneyland opening up membership applications for Club 33 for the first time in a decade. The latest membership drive now includes the new Club 1901 private lounge in the Carthay Circle Theater. http://www.ocregister.com/news/disney-352643-club-members.html

The current rate for Club 33, which includes valet parking for the theme parks, access to Club 1901 in DCA, and concierge services for theme park visits is;

Individual Initiation Fee: $25,000
Annual Dues: $10,000

That's a lot of dough! Although, I know of a beach and tennis club here in SoCal that has an individual initiation fee that is roughly quadruple that price, with annual dues that are more expensive as well.

For basically unlimited VIP access to Disneyland and DCA, and compared to other country clubs, yacht clubs or beach clubs around SoCal, the prices for Club 33 are a pretty good deal.

1901 looks just amazing! That's in DCA?!?!?!?!?! ;)

I know, can you even believe it?!? :veryconfu

This is a theme park that in just ten short years went from slimy Paul Pressler and fake Cynthia Harriss belching up cheap stucco strip mall junk like this...

To geeky-hipster John Lasseter hanging out in the park every month to supervise custom built swanky themed architecture and exclusive cocktail lounges like this...

I swear, if someone woke me up in the morning and told me it was all just a silly dream and Pressler was still in charge building stucco snack bars I wouldn't doubt it. But the amazing thing is, it's all actually happening this summer at DCA right before our eyes! :eek:

While I enjoyed a nice dinner back in the 1980's at Club 33 (via a friend who worked for a company with a Corporate membership), I don't have that much disposable cash just lying around looking to get spent. I'd rather buy more DVC points.
