Club 33 and Disney World?

Recently I have been reading a lot about club 33 at Disneyland in both California and Tokyo and I was wondering why there was never one built in Florida? It seems the club is used by a lot of company executives and with the large amount of corporate conventions at Disney World I thought it would have been a perfect fit. Does anyone know if it was ever planned for Florida and why it was not built? I think I am just intrigued by the mystery of the place.

Many companies that were sponsors at WDW had or still have VIP lounges (at Epcot). Back in the 70's, WDW tried to do a member's-only club in LBV, but it did not fare too well.

Where was LBV? (I assume it stands for Lake Buena Vist) I've never heard of it before.

It later became the Disney Village resort, then Disney Institute.....now, Saratoga Springs.

It would be a nice thing to have, but it isn't totally neccesary. We have something that Disneyland doesn't have. Lots of Space and lots of resorts. The resorts have all the banquet and meeting facilities a company could want. There are also lounges that can be rented out in almost every Epcot pavilion (the sponsorless pavilions like Living Seas). There really isn't a need for the Club since there are a ton of other choices that someone could choose from.
