It's disappointing, but honestly, if you're not visiting during a peak season it's how it goes. You're fortunate that the list is so minor - Mickey's House is certainly nothing to write home about, and Big Thunder is undergoing a complete rebuild that has been going for several months already (Space Mountain had an even longer closure leading up to the park's 50th in 2005 - roller coasters need love). Snow White is a nice little ride, but it's quite short and not as good as the one WDW unceremoniously closed last May, and it's in no danger of leaving DLR ever. Pinocchio, Mr. Toad and Alice are just as good (if not better).
Attractions need maintenance to run at optimal (and safe) condition, and unlike WDW, DLR is not shy about taking care of its attractions. It sucks if your visit lands while something is down, but that's the trade-off for visiting during a non-peak time. If you don't want refurbs, come during summer or Christmas (though Big Thunder would have still been down, it won't reopen till 2/15/14).
There's still plenty of wonderful amazingness awaiting you during your trip, I promise!
