Is CRT themed OK for boys or is it more a girly thing? We're already doing Ohana breakfast, Liberty Tree MNSSHP, Garden Grill, but thought maybe do one more character dinner, but would like something at Magic Kingdom. Any suggestions!

CRT is definately Not for boys! I learned this the hard way. My, then, 2 1/2 year old was not a happy camper with all those Princesses kissing on him. I guess if he was a teen boy he might of liked it, but not as a 2 year old and I know he wouldn't like it now at almost 5 since "girls are yuck!" so he says. I highly reccommend Crystal Palace. The Pooh & Friends breakfast is perfect! We had such a blast. We had lots of character time with each one and Eeyore even noticed my Mom was wearing an Eeyore shirt (not even intentional lol) and he spent lots of time with her and even "made" me take a picture of them together. The food was great too!

That's kind of what I was affraid of. We have a 14 year old son as well, and I don't think he would care for all the kissie, kissie stuff. :hurl: (not yet, thank goodness!)

It depends on your boys, I think. When I worked at Epcot, I talked to a lot of little boys who'd gone to the similar Princess dining in Norway and got all sorts of responses. One 10 year old said he was fed up with doing so much Princess stuff for his sister's sake (they'd done dinner at CRT the night before going to breakfast in Norway)...many boys said it wasn't great but they didn't mind...and then I would see little boys grinning from ear to ear with big lipstick marks on their cheeks. One boy who must have been around 5 told me that ALL of the Princesses kissed him, and Cinderella and Ariel kissed him TWICE. I said "Oh my! What would Prince Charming say?!" And was told very matter of factly..."Well, he wasn't there! None of the princes were there."

So it depends; some boys want nothing to do with Princesses, others can tolerate them, and others think it's so much fun to be kissed by the lovely royal ladies. It's all about your own kids and how they take it; boys can have a great time at CRT, but not all of them do.

Ariellen gave a beautiful response! That is about the long and the short of it - it depends on your own kids. If you have both boys and girls, the boys will tolerate it a bit better as well. If you have only boys, I would probably say try a different one, but only you know your own kids.

I think by asking the question, you already answered your own concern.

It really depends on the boy. DS11 [then 10] loved it! He had a picture taken with each Princess and took one of me with Belle [she insisted... Really! :lookaroun]

We talked about it before I booked it and he was interested. If he had been unsure, I'd've skipped it. As it was, we had a lovely breakfast, got a great picture of him with Cinderella [he's just the right height that his eyes were level with certain parts that boys don't have - the only time he looked remotely uncomfortable ] and got an early start into the park.

The only negative, if you could call it that, was that they gave him a sword and a light-up pin despite his being an "adult" [only the 9-or-under crowd get the toys], but I broke the sword trying to pack it. [He forgave me :D]
