Cinderellabration request...

I read from a Disney entertainment contact that Cinderellabration is supposedly being performed several times this week: Thursday (Today), Friday, and Saturday. If anyone is down there and is willing to film it, please upload it on this site. I'm just that anxious to see some of it. Then again, this is just rumored, but usually this guy is right.

True to Original

Yes, they may not be the prettiest costumes, but wardbrobe looks like it stayed very true to the original Tokyo production...which is very good since I am hearing very mixed reviews of the production from the inside.

Don't really have much hope for the WDW incarnation of Cinderellabration personally. The Tokyo version is SUCH a snore -- the only thing good about it is the fancy lighting effects, which are obviously not going to happen in a daytime version. It moves with the pace of a slug with a head cold. I mean how long does it take to put a crown on Cinderella's head? Apparently 25 minutes. That's pretty much the whole show, just wating for the chick to finally arrive so we can crown her. And I'm sure this will also be different in the WDW version due to stage size differences, but lord you should see how long it takes Cindy and Prince to climb a flight of stairs in this show. Hehe. BUT, maybe I'm wrong and it will have more of an intimate charm in the smaller hub than the hulabaloo of TDL's setup. I hear that Cindy and Godmother will sing and speak live at WDW, which is much better than the lip-syncing (and Godmother, stepsisters, and Lady Tremaine are rubberheads over here, which is highly creepy looking). Plus at TDL you have to get a position ages in advance to see it, so you definitely want something exciting after waiting in the cold, which never really comes to fruition. With 6ish shows a day over there in Florida, it should be no problem to take a show in at your leisure.

 I think this post came off as highly negative, but it's really just Cindy's show that I don't care for. There are far, far better shows they could have imported from TDL, it's really a misfire. They should have done a castle version of One Man's Dream or some other big Disney showcase. I will however look forward to some video and hopefully I will be surprised at the changes that have been made.

Oh and one more thing--those costumes look fantastic in the TDL version, but again--it's a night show so in direct sunlight they may not be quite as dazzling... :p
