Cinderella Castle Suite

Ever since I heard about it, I've been intrigued by the Cinderella castle suite that was originally built for the Year Of A Million Dreams in 2007. Has anyone here been in the suite or knows someone who has? I always wondered that, if you are lucky enough to be one of the chosen few who have stayed in the suite, what happens after MK closes and you want to leave the suite? I'm sure that WDW doesn't want any guests wandering around the park after closing, but I'm sure guests staying in the suite wouldn't want to be locked inside the castle overnight. I'm surprised that WDW hasn't further explored the idea of suites/lodging inside the parks, although I'm sure the limited number of rooms that would be available would be super exclusive, either by price or by only offering them as rewards or contest winnings.

There is a concierge CM that escorts guests outside of the suite.

Would love to stay in it, however the view outside is a little disappointing

It still gets a fair amount of use, not every night but on average there’s probably a party in it once a week or so. Most of the time it’s a Make A Wish/Give Kids the World family or a contest winner.

I knew about those, thought it was less frequent though. However, it remains that only folks Disney invites in one form or another can use it now.

There are some long stretches where there is no one in it, but over the summer and the run up to Christmas it’s a lot more. I heard that they try to accommodate around 60 families a year. And a night in the castle is one of the prizes they give out to CMs, that’s probably once a month or so in the off times.

It’s kind of one of those things that I’m sure there is a "price" they'd be willing to book it for but it’s probably a ridiculously large charitable donation or something like that.

Honestly, it's my understanding that the suite has always been invitation-only. It's just that Disney introduced the suite with a long-running sweepstakes so I guess it seemed like a stay in the suite was more accessible back then than it is now that the promotion has ended and you can't really win a night in the suite anymore. Hopefully that makes sense.

That seems like a waste. I understand it not being bookable but they should use it more.

Think about it. If everyone wants to get that room and there are only 365 days per year (being that they only give it to guests for 1 night) you could be on a 10+ year waiting list.

As I understand it, they are not legally allowed to accept money for a stay in the suite, no matter the price. It is not zoned as a rental property which would be required if they ever charged any guest to stay there. Besides, if they did ever make that an option, they'd never be able to keep it under control. There is no end of people with the funds would be willing to spend the money for the bragging rights alone.

Odd question, but would anyone happen to have photos of when the suite used to be a call center? Anyone ever been inside of it when it was a call center?

I've personally never been in it, but when I worked there I had a CM friend who won a stay in the suite and brought his girlfriend, though this was about 4 years ago and can't remember any of the details he gave me.

I do recall a Guest Relations "friend" telling me that he would give brief tours of the suite... something, something, something, people would constantly play with the old phone in the suite and something would break on the phone and was expensive to fix. Can anyone verify/fill in the blanks? Just something I recalled after reading this post.
