Christmas Week

Maybe a silly question from a rookie poster: How insanely crowed will the parks be the week between Christmas and New Years? Is it any worse than Fourth of July week?

I'll be in O-Town Dec 28-Jan 3, staying off site at a friend's house downtown. Trying to figure out the best days to go to WDW.

Advice please?

From what my clients have told me, it's total insanity. The crowds are huge, this is why I won't go this time of year. If you would like a rundown of the early opening days, here they are. Please keep in mind that this list usually reflects the busiest days in that particular park too.

MK-Sun., Thur. (sat. is known to be very crowded here also)
AK - Mon., Fri
Epcot - Wed.
MGM - Tues., Sat.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the tip. I'm definitely looking forward. The last time I was there at Christmastime was 1973. I've heard nothing but good things. Are there any must sees?

Go and enjoy the atmosphere - but don't expect to do many rides or get about the parks easily and quickly - it will feel like half the world will be there.
But on the other hand - people return year after year

This is my first Christmas WDW trip. Have been to DL twice at Christmas time. The last time they closed the park due to maximum attendance. I love the excitement of being with a crowd. The energy is awesome. Can't wait til the 26th.

This will be my first holiday trip. I'm only hoping that I'll get to ride everything I want to atleast once. I have a family of 6 and it's hard to get us all time off and get all 6 of us to florida. ($$) Nonetheless, I'm sure the Disney Magic will be everywhere and make for the trip of a lifetime! I hate huge crowds though... this could be a problem. I get a form of "road rage" when walking.

I have only been to WDW during the early part of December, but I know you will enjoy the whole Disney Christmas- time atmosphere from the decorations, and the Osbourne Family Lights display, and all of the special Fireworks and shows at this time of the year.

Have a great trip and Happy Holidays.:)
