Christmas vs. Easter

Question for folks who have visited WDW during both the week after Easter and the week between Christmas and New Year's. Which week is more insane?

The crowds aren't that big of a deal to us since we've been so many times. I'm just wondering if the crowds are the same order of magnitude...

Last year we visited WDW during Easter week, it was super crowded and the Flower & Garden Festival was in full swing at Epcot. And maybe there were some teenage spring breaker types around. We still had a great time and have a trip booked for this Easter.

I'm toying with the idea of booking a Christmas week trip. I'd love to see the decorations in person. But I'm wondering if the crowds are worse.

Xmas is far worse. I don't remember too many times the parks shutting down for capacity reasons during Easter. If you would like to see the Xmas decorations Thanksgiving week is more manageable. Easter crowds depend on when Easter falls. If it's a late Easter crowds are generally lighter. A lot of schools are ditching Easter break and picking a set date for Spring breaks. Southern Schools tend to go with early March for spring break where northern schools tend to do first week of April.
