Christmas time at resorts

We are going to WDW in early December. We've never been there during the holidays.

We play on taking a day visit some of the other resorts to see the decorations, etc.

What are some MUST SEE resorts during that time? I plan on visiting:

1. Grand Floridian (gingerbread house)
2. Wilderness Lodge (love the theme and never been there)
3. Yacht & Beach Club

Any others with special decorations, etc?

Those would be the top 3 in my book. Others with good decorations are the Boardwalk, the Swan and Dolphin, Contemporary, Polynesian and Animal Kingdom Lodge. All the deluxe resorts have expansive lobbies that really lend themselves to decorating. But every resort will have something special.

To me, the deluxe resorts have the best decorations. Especially the ones with the gingerbread creations!!! Each resort (value, moderate, deluxe) will be decked out for the holidays in their own special "themed" decorations though. The whole place looks so festive!

You can even buy some tasty treats out of the big gingerbread house at the GF! :slurp:

We did it two years ago and you've got the top three with to me the Grand Floridian and the Beach Club being the best.

Others to consider (not sure if they keep the same decorations/themes)
-Boardwalk-Gingerbread Carnival
-AKL-Beautiful decorations (in 2005 had gingerbread African village 2006 did not and I don't know why)
-Polynesian-Decorations nice and small hawian village in gingerbread.

We did that in 2005 a tour, which we ended at Wilderness Lodge and a meal at Whispering Canyon. Great Time.

Oh, I forgot, we will be going to the AKL, since we have an ADR at Boma.

just remember that you will have to make extra time to go to the different resorts ... when going to MK, I would use the resort monrail and just hop on and off at the 3 resorts ...

I was just going to ask the exact same question. DH and I will definately see the Grand Floridian. We wanted to visit another resort but wasn't sure about another resort.

All of the resorts along the monorail have fabulous decorations. I love disney during the holidays, it really brings out that warm holiday feeling.:xmas:
