Main street will be very congested. I think they open up back stage walkways.

We were there on both days of taping last year. It wasn't bad, except on Main Street, and then it was only until a bit after noon. If you're in the rest of the park, you don't even know it's going on.

Good point. Fortunately, I wasn't plagued with that predicament in November, as there weren't any yet.

Also just an FYI..if you are in the park on parade taping day...the parade floats come thrru frontier land, and they usally rope off to give them the right of way...

How exactly did you manage?

We were there during taping last year and as others have said, Main Street is crazy, but the rest of the park is rather pleasant. We were also there during taping in 2008 and had no idea that the parade was even going on. All I remember was being in Adventureland and feeling like we were the only people in the park, because there was *nobody* else in Adventureland aside from CMs.

Magic Kingdom (anywhere but MSUSA) during Christmas Day Parade taping is a *great* time to be there.

See I thought it was awful. It was really crowded every where. You know its crowded when its a small world was a 45 min wait. we couldnt get to fantasyland until we took the train bc they roped off the area for and couldn't cross. It honestly felt like I was there in july. By mid afternoon it cleared out.

Took my own instant packets. Boiled drinking fountain water in the sun. Sat in that ratty old Main Street Bakery and drank it, while eating some stale Pumpkin Loaf.
