Okay, I know this has probably been brought up and addressed a million times by now, but I'm just curious... How bad are the crowds REALLY in December? I'm going with my family 12-28/1-5 this year and I'm wondering how terrible the crowds will really be. I don't want to not enjoy myself because of all the people. Any info would be greatly appriciated.

Oh! And also, what special things does WDW do for New Years? For the general public - and - for the "adults"?

Can you go in and out of large spaces? After a football game or baseball game can you walk with the crowds? If you can answer yes then you have and idea.

Big firework shows, and long opening hours Just dont expect to do lots of rides that day, just take in the atmosphere and enjoy

What about Fast Pass?

I’ve gone about 5 years on New Years.
When they opened up Fast pass – I got on a lot of rides

My family and I have gone to disney in the Christmmas time during the day and had one of our worst disney experiences. what we did find about 5 years ago is the Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party. This is an event that is from 7pm until 12am. There is a limited amount of tickets for each nite and the line sometimes are very small. To give you visual on how small the lines are sometimes I can tell you that my sister and I went on Big thunder mountain railroad 3 times wihout getting off. That was great. Well I highly recomend this event and it is always a blast. Im goin Decmber the 13th I think

Thanks for all the info guys! You all are so much help to me. I hope that the crowds aren't too bad. If they are, then I'll let the Disney Magic take over. It IS the happiest place on earth ya know.
