YAY!!!!!! I wish we were going to be there to see them this year, they are so awesome! I'm glad that we have had the opportunity to see them a few times in the past.

one of the great Disney experiences around the Holidays, especially the Osbourne light display. it gives you chills to see it. A must do for your Disney list.

MEEEEEE, I'm looking forward to seeing the decorations again in November. Nobody does it as well as Disney. I'm awestruck every time I've been there during this time period. Theres nothing as beautiful than the parks, the castle and the resorts decked out in their stunning decorations. I always encourage friends to visit WDW at least once during the Christmas decorated times.

It takes about two and a half months to get everything up.

I guess I should have taken a picture the other day. The regular strands are up on the Public Library and down the street. The arch should be soon.
I don't ever remember watching the progress of them being put up when I had my AP in 2012. I had no idea it took so long to put them up.

We did the tour that included the warehouse that stores the Christmas decorations and where they assemble everything. When you see the immense collection of items they have to test, touch up, assemble, put out, youd be amazed they can do it in the time they have. Of course it helps they are organized, everything is coded and numbered, unlike my boxes of ornaments and ball of tangled Christmas lights that I encounter every year. :arghh::arghh::arghh:

While I think it is great they do these lights, I would rather see them decorate more of the parks with the lights and wreaths and garlands. Over just putting 5 million lights in one tiny soon to be closed space. The parks don't get the christmas treatment they deserve.

I wish someone had a video of the history on decorating the parks over the years.
