Christmas Decorations?

Does anyone know when they will start putting up Christams decorations at WDW? I don't mean like the light shows but little wreathes here and garlands there?

Around Thanksgiving time. Some places will have stuff up before or after that time.

They are starting to decorate already. Generally, they have the decorations completed and "open" the day after Thanksgiving. It is truly a wonderful experience to stroll down MSUSA while it is snowing!

its not snow its bubbles!!!!!! well on the serious part i think that disney looks awesome in the winter time. i havent been to any park except for MK during the winter but it is awesome.

You are right MK is great at Christmas but I think that DS has a certain appealing quality to it as well. EPCOT is really good to. This is the first year in four years I will not be there for Christmas I'll try to get back there for Christmas in 2003.

Not that I'm trying to get the residents crowded out or anything but they have the "snow" along a certain street in Celebration during a good number of nights as well. It is sort of a strange feeling to walk down a street lined with palm trees and see kids dancing around in "snow"...

In all seriousness, Celebration is sort of a cool place to go if you have access to a car in the area. Most of the people you are around are residents and it is sort of a warm feeling to see so many friendly people who aren't being paid to be that way.

I know it sounds sort of cheesy but it really is a neat thing. I know some people that live there and I made a point to drop in for an evening last year during the holiday season but there aren't any restrictions on going down there. It isn't an attraction per say. I mean, there is the snow and there is usually a person running around in a big snow man costume along with a Santa in a gingerbread house and some lights and the occasional cup of warm cider or hot chocolate and cookies but that is about it. Just the same, if you can enjoy looking at the decorations on Main Street or find the atmosphere around DTD nice this time of year, you'll enjoy Celebration a lot.

gotta love that snope... I lived in celebration for a bit, and although it was fun, i'd never wanna live there again
