Christmas Decorations

I was wondering how long after Christmas do the decorations and lights stay up? I was thinking about planning a trip right after New Years in the next year or two and was wondering whether the lights and decorations would still be up. Vacation would start somewhere around the 2nd of January

The Christmas decorations usually stay up through the running of the marathon, so last year I know it was the 8th. The morning after, however, they're all gone! So check the dates, it's usually the first or second weekend of the month. If you go around the 2nd you'd be guaranteed to have them up for at least part of your trip.
