Christmas Day question

Greetings mickeys and minnies :animwink:

I am going to Disneyworld for the 3rd time this year, and my dream has finally come true. Yes, I will be there for Christmas!!

:xmas:

Anyway, I have some questions that I hoped you may be able to help with:-

1) Do the parks open on Christmas Day? If yes, am I right in assuming that there'll be very few rides/attractions/shops/etc operating?

2) Assuming the parks open Christmas Day, I am staying at the All Star Music hotel. Will the bus transportation to the parks be available that day?

3) What's the weather like around then? I guess it's still shorts and t-shirt, right?

4) Is it possible to book a table somewhere for Christmas Day dinner? I don't care what we eat, but it'd be nice to go somewhere nice e.g Liberty Tree Tavern. If yes, can you do this on-line, or is it necessary to phone? How early should I do this?

I think that's it :)

Well thank you very much for taking the time to read this. I hope you can help me

Yes parks are open all day if there isn't some sort of disaster that they have to close the parks for. All rides and shows will be operating, COP and Timekeeper might be too. There will be a few extra shows for Christmas if this Christmas is like Christmas's past.

Bus transportation is available all day as well. Just be ready to face some of the biggest crowds you'll ever face.

Weather is iffy, especially this far out. It was cold in 2001. This past year it wasn't too bad during the day, but a jacket was needed at night.

Liberty Tree Tavern is a great place for a Thanksgiving/Christmas meal. I'd probally call a month or two before your trip (not sure of how soon in advance PS is taken) if that's what you want for a Christmas dinner.

Some answers and a web site to help

1) Yes - the parks are open all year round and the rides operate normally - but they will be extremely busy.
2) Yes - its just another day
3) Compared to the UK, the weather is brilliant, but by Florida standards it will be slightly cooler than normal summer weather
4) I would suggest that a Priority Seating reservation IS essential for Christmas - check out www.pscalculator.net/pscalc.shtml
