While I hate to dissuade you from doing something you want to do, watching the parade taping is far from entertaining for most people. The reality of the shooting is incredibly different from the final product. They don't simply run the parade and film it. They run a section, back it up and do it again. Then back they it up and do it again. This might happen 5-6 times for each section and the shine of watching the parade taping wears off really quick.
It can be somewhat enjoyable if you are by yourself or with a group that really wants to watch the filming, but if you have kids they better be of the very patient variety.
Absolutely. The crows are concentrated around the hub and Main St. The crowds are typically pretty light once you get past that. How does this affect the Christmas party days if at all?? I'm not interested in watching or being part of the parade taping. Can the crowds be worked around while enjoying the rest of the park?
The taping is boring... and they take all of the decorations down! BOO!
So how does the taping affect the other parks?
agree and a traffic nightmare of throngs of people one way direction walking in and out, I have never seen main street so trashed and trampled as I did last year, and will never step foot in the place again on taping days. Piles of cables in plants, the hub is nothing but tech equip, paper and trash all over the streets, a mess. They just got those nice trees to growing too in the hub this year, hate to see everything all uprooted and ruined again.
