Hi All !
Any suggestions on a good place for a special Christmas Day lunch or dinner for my family ? I know that it is very late to get any reservations, but anything in the Magic Kingdow or accessible by monorail. We have 8 adults and one 2 year old girl. Any suggestions and where to call would be much appreciated !
Thanks !

Okay, first call 1-407-WDW-DINE and see if you can't make reservations right now for a restaurant. Follow my advice below only if you can't reserve anything by calling WDW-DINE right now. If nothing is open when you call WDW-DINE, the easiest thing to do is to wait until the day you want to eat, and then call the hotel where the restaurant is that you want to eat at directly. For example, if you want to eat at Kona Cafe, call the Polynesian Resort. Then ask for the name of the restaurant (Kona Cafe in this example) and ask if there are any seatings available for... well, right now. Chances are, they'll have plenty of empty tables of 4 left over depending on the time you call. Have a happy holidays!

I'm gonna go directly up against you and say that's not true. I mean, yes, you are correct that all computers use the same system, but there's a loophole in Priority Seating that allows for walk-ins. You can call the restaurant directly and if they have a few empty tables, they will write a card up for you right then, bi-passing the entire computer system. :) I'm sorry I have to go against you, but I've done this many times and it does work at the resorts. In the parks it rarely works because there are too many guests all the time wanting to walk-in. I don't mean to be mean or anything, but this is something I've done for a fact many times, and I know it to be true. It doesn't hold up well when someone tells me that I can't do it when I know I've done it many times before. Sorry. :)

Ahhh, I just realized that you have 9 people! Yeah, that work-around I mentioned probably won't work unless you want to divide your party up between 2 tables... Sorry to get your hopes up. :(

Christmas day in the MK or any surrounding resort is total chaos. If you have a concierge twist his arm. If not, get a list of restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin and start making calls.Shulas is nice but with 8 + 1 I would expect to drop $350-450 + tip.
