I'm giving my family their first WDW Christmas, and I need some info about the Christmas Day Parade. Is it live, or is it filmed at an earlier date? If it's earlier, then when? If it's on that day, how early do I have to get to the park for a spot, and where's the best spot? Please help someone!:veryconfu

The Christmas parade you see on tv is filmed at an earlier date. If you want to bring some magic to the trip and see the exact same parade they show on Christmas day, get tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom. They close the park at 6:00pm and re-open at 7:00pm for ticket holders. All the rides are open, they serve hot chocolate and cookies throuout the park. They have several special shows, a special edition of Wishes and two parades. During the parades you would want to be on Main Street because it wilol snow.
