Chris Evans cast as Captain America

I guess this is kind of Disney news. This is a popular character that is now owned by Disney. Chris Evans was pretty good in the movie "Sunshine" but it is kind of odd because he was in the Fantastic 4 playing a character that exists in the same fictional universe of Captain America.

What do you think about this casting?

I think this could be good news. He is a pretty good actor. Yea, he was in F4, but they are thinking of rebooting that anyway. Just like everything else. He would have to step away from the way he acted in F4. The character should have a more serious tone... thats how i feel. He can pull it off. Just hope they get the movie right. They have had great movies in that realm. (Iron Man, Hulk) We'll see... and can't wait to get more news on this film!

I agree that he is a good actor, Now I just want to see if he can be Captain America. I'm not really worried about the casting, I just hope the movie comes together well.

I'm fine with the casting. It is better they go with somebody like Evans than somebody like an Ephron or Tatum.

I think he looks like a good fit for the role and I have enjoyed the few films that I have seen him in before, so seems ok to me.
