Chips 'n Salsa

Okay, so here I sit, waiting for Frances, doing a puzzle, and eating chips 'n salsa. (How thrilling, eh?)

Anyhoo... the salsa I have now is watery and so-so. Blah. So brings me the question, what's your favorite Salsa??

I remember when I lived in Central NY, there was a supermarket called Wegman's, and they had a store brand salsa that was SO good. It was a pineapple salsa, and it was sweet, instead of spicy. I miss it!! Haven't been able to find a salsa that I like since.

Pineapple salsa? Sounds yummy. I checked their site & its not listed anywhere.

Salsa...thick & chunky but, not too spicy...with Tostitos scoops. :slurp:

(Wegman's has a free screensaver & the pics [of food] change every time you log in!)

I actually like the watery kind that you would have at a mexican restaurant.
That's what I have... Tostitos Restaurant Style... *shrug* It's not bad, just a little more runny than what I like.

Since you're doing Chips & Salsa, perhaps you could give us an update on your recent move back to the wonderful world of WDW transportation. How do you like it? Any significant changes? Are you related to Ralph Kramden?

Chips and salsa, bus driving, yes, I can see the correlation!

Things are going well. A few things have changed, but most is as I left it. I'm making sure to get involved, and whatnot, so hopefully I should be moving up the ranks. Someday at least.

The Tostitos brand of Salsa comes in various ranges of spice and thickness. I prefer cold salsa since it is not as runny!

My ex-roommate made the best salsa I've ever known. He called it Chris's Salsa of Love. Hah

Anyways, it was made fresh with thick pieces of onion, tomato, peppers, etc. He also added a secret blend of spices, primarily consisting of garlic and worsteshire sauce (there are about 5-10 other ingredients too)

It was so good, you could eat it with a spoon, and drink the leftover juice right out of the bowl.

Tomatillos are at the heart of any well-rounded salsa.

As far as store bought; i was surprised by Imus' salsa. Yes, that old radio cowboy dude, actually his daughter i think. Also Miguel's stowe away salsas as far as regional, since i doubt they distribute outside the northeast. Its a salsa produced by an Innkeeper from Stowe Vermont that also runs a mexican restaurant.

But salsa is a very easy thing to blend up, so experiment and find your own perfect salsa when able.

I like the Tostidos Salsa medium for stuff out of the jar, but I really like the Salsa at our local Mexican Rest. (El Sombrero's) But even better!!... my homemade guacamole!! OLE!
