They are still doing it. Official word is that all WDW resort guests are welcome. Frankly, I'm reasonably confident they'd welcome non-WDW resort guests as well, as there is no policy posted (at least none that I've ever found), and certainly no attempt to confirm that any attendees are staying on property.
